The Journey to Launch: My Experience with GoDaddy Customer Support

Friday Nights and DNS Battles: A Small Business Owner's Story

It’s Friday night, and while most people are unwinding, I’m on my couch, knee-deep in pre-launch chaos. My website is so close to going live, but there’s one thing standing in my way: DNS issues.

What’s a DNS, you ask? Honestly, I’m not entirely sure either—but I know it’s important. I’ve been on a back-and-forth marathon with GoDaddy customer support, probably giving them more attitude than I should. After all, I’ve just worked a full day and I’m exhausted.

I’m not here to save lives, but let’s be real: I’m trying to change them. Through a handful of products I’ve designed, I want to bring some joy, connection, and humor to workplaces everywhere.

Because let’s face it, today’s favorite might not be next year’s MVP. Life at work can be a revolving door of favorites, but the OGs will always hold a special place.

Work has always been a huge part of my life. I’m one of those people who genuinely loves their job and takes pride in the life they’re building. But even for me, balancing work, exhaustion, and passion projects can be rough.

Reflecting on Work Culture and Hustle Life

It’s funny how much work environments can feel like high school sometimes. The drama, the alliances, the favorites—it’s all there, just with less acne and better coffee. But that’s part of what makes it relatable.

My goal with this business is to celebrate those work friendships and the unique dynamics that make office life, well, life.

The Takeaway

As I sit here, drained but determined, I’m reminded that the grind is real. But so is the reward of creating something meaningful. If you’re a small business owner or just someone chasing a dream, keep going. The road might be tough, but the view at the end is worth it.

Now, back to figuring out this DNS thing.
